Hull’s IT@Spectrum receives deserved award

IT@Spectrum Ltd has won a coveted award from the Humber Educational Business Partnership in recognition for its support of education in Hull.

IT@Spectrum receives awardHumber Educational Business Partnership (Humber EBP), awarded IT@Spectrum, Trinity Street, Hull, the Business Award at its fifth annual ceremony at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Willerby last night (Thursday July 3rd).

The Humber EBP East Riding team offers direct support to schools by linking them with businesses in a range of activities. The awards are aimed at recognising businesses, young people, teachers and their schools and colleges for their achievements and outstanding support.

In the past year IT@Spectrum has worked closely with many local schools, to provide work experience placements, sponsorships, boards of governors roles, exchange schemes and IT awards projects. As a business the team at IT@Spectrum has put into the Hull education system hundreds of hours of support work.

Ken Sturdy, managing director at IT@Spectrum, said today: “We are thrilled to receive this award in recognition of the work we have done with schools throughout Hull in the past year.

“Each year we sponsor a work experience student, we sponsor numerous events at schools, we have our team fulfilling seven posts as school governors, we have worked with school administrators to help share best practice for maintaining pupil records, we have sponsored IT awards at Headland’s School and David Lister and have regularly advised on IT curriculum matters.

“As a business we take seriously our role in the future of this city – and this award is a very fitting acknowledgement of what we are participating in to help benefit pupils across our Hull educational system.”

Sandra Cooper, general manager of the Humber EBP (pictured), said: “We are delighted that we are able to celebrate the achievements of all those who support the Humber EBP. As usual the standard of entries is extremely high and the judges found the process of decision-making very difficult. However, the winners this year are being awarded for some fantastic achievements and the work that IT@Spectrum has completed in the last year has made a difference to young people throughout the region.”

IT@Spectrum provides a full office documentation service. Spectrum’s technology enables clients to be in full control of all office documentation, allowing clients to manage, distribute and account for documents that have been produced, received or sent.
