The Problem
Early in 2004, we were approached by Tollbar Business and Enterprise College, which is one of the largest mixed ability Comprehensive Secondary Schools in the country, as they were keen to discuss the possibility of having a tailor-made agreement that not only satisfied their needs, but also delivered better value than they were currently enjoying. They were happy with the Canon brand, but wanted to look for a new solution that was based more on a partnership basis with a different forward thinking and innovative organisation.
Specifically, they were keen to explore a different approach of providing a more cost effective and productive print solution for the college as a whole, but with a unique and flexible arrangement.
The Solution
College Principal, David Hampson, OBE, BSc, BA said:
“In August of 2004 we took the decision to entrust local specialist company IT@Spectrum with our printing and copying requirements, having previously dealt with a larger national organisation.
We have together in partnership formulated a print Strategy, implemented through the installation of 42 Canon multi-functional devices, leading to a vast improvement in the facilities that we offer to our staff and students alike”.
This has been extended to 55 Canon devices and the College now professionally produces all of their Certificates, Parental Information and Newsletters in house.
