The Problem
In 2008 The Mobile Point decided they needed to review their current Document Production methods to take on board the ever growing needs of their company. IT@Spectrum visited their premises to look at the layout of their offices and to discuss with their workforce their requirements for Document Production to move the business forward.
It was highlighted that rather than printing on mass they needed to produce continually changing marketing and promotional materials quickly in-house, yet keeping the look and feel of the current professionally printed documents. From the walk around it was clear that the multiple desktop printers located around the building where not able to cope with the demands of the jobs moving forward. A Print Audit was installed to collate all the printing and scanning data from these printers which then allowed the IT@Spectrum team to put together a true recommendation based on fact.
The Solution
A Canon multifunctional device with a Booklet Maker was installed to replace the majority of desktop printers. Pulling all printing to one centralised device has allowed The Mobile Point to keep control of their printing costs and in turn has helped them enhance their marketing capabilities. iW360 was also introduced to The Mobile Point. It is a software package that allows them to pull together documents from Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc into one document for easy collation and printing.
