The Solution
They leased a Canon iR5870Ci which is a high performance multifunctional printer. The Canon iR5870Ci automatically knows when you want to print in colour or in black and white which saves money by printing in black and white when colour is not required. This device can easily be integrated into your current IT infrastructure, adding new levels of control, security and support.
Adelaide have also added INVU to their arrangement which is a document management system. INVU allows you to manage all of your documents electronically from your desktop which in turn improves your efficiency, lowers costs and makes you more responsive to enquiries.
INVU is designed by people who use it and is the simplest, most intuitive software you’ll ever run on your desktop. It is easy to search through and is always accessible. INVU allows anyone who ever needs a document to find it, share it, change it and store it, all within a few clicks of a mouse.
The device and software Adelaide Primary are now currently using allows them to link into the internal software they use called the Schools Information Management System (SIMS.net).
SIMS.net is a necessary part of most school Admin office life, it is used for maintaining pupil information and finance data. INVU does not try to replace the SIMS.net package it simply enhances the software to allow staff a simple but effective way of retrieving pupil information. A button can be added to the SIMS package to allow any document to be found within seconds, even if the document has not been indexed away into SIMS.net. This enables many more documents that currently sit on desks or in filing cabinets to be stored and retrieved in a quick and efficient manner.
